Dance to the music!

This one may be more of a slow sway, though. I thought of something more mellow for a blah Monday. I've got a sick little one, so I'm moving a tad slower than normal anyway.

The latest song I've bought off iTunes is by Gavin Mikhail. I got a message from someone on MySpace (I'm fairly sure it was spam, but he's still good!) with a link to his MySpace in it. I checked it out and immediately fell in love with his voice. I think he may have been on MTV's Making the Band, but I don't like Sean Combs (or whatever he's going by this week) so I never watch that show.
My favorite song is "Days Gone By," however, I haven't heard one of his songs I didn't like yet. I'm slowly buying his CD, one song at a time. I'm weird like that, I guess. I should just suck it up and buy the whole thing, huh?
Seriously check him out, he's good! I don't know him, so I can't vouch for his personality, but you'll probably never meet him in person anyway.

Dance to the music!

For those of you that don't know, Hubby plays bass. Yup, not only am I an incredibly creative mama, I'm a hot rock star's wife. Or a rock star's hot wife. Hmmm. Do you have to actually earn money playing to be considered a rock star?
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to highlight some musicians I like. Gotta keep it interesting!

For the first one, I'm choosing Rob Gundling. He's a great guy, plays local shows when he can, and is a great musician. He has a MySpace page that he just put new songs on (which is why I thought of this idea in the first place) and a website to keep you updated. You may recognize one of his songs as being the intro to my videos. He's just that good!
If you like his music, let him know! I'm sure he would be thrilled to get random emails from women. His wife on the other hand... I'm just kidding, she's a sweetheart, too.
Have any great bands you like that deserve the attention? Leave me a comment, and I'll check them out!

Knit me a house, four bedrooms please.

Okay, so I took a break and went to start a load of laundry for hubby, and (yuck!) there was already wet clothes in the washer. I don't remember putting them in, but they smelled kind of musty. Ewww...
Anyway, back to what I originally wanted to post, I was watching Graham Norton tonight, and he had this woman on who knit a whole house, furniture, food, even a tea set. She had some help obviously, but still she's only been working on it for a year. She finished everything but the roof. Oh my! That just makes me feel guilty because I've been working on the same sweater for about 2 weeks, and I'm crocheting it (which is way faster than knitting.) I also have two other projects that I'm halfway through. How bad is that? I'm terrible at finishing things I start. Well, that's obvious considering what I just wrote about the laundry situation! I forgot how much I like Graham Norton. I'm going to have to start watching it more, especially since it's re-run time!
Hubby and I rented a movie tonight. It was Music and Lyrics, and I laughed so hard. I love Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant, and together they are perfect. I know it's old, but if you haven't seen it, like me (the date night challenged), I strongly recommend it. It's a romantic comedy, but it's not at all sappy or corny. It was the perfect movie for me to watch tonight.
